HOA Committees
The Hartland Homeowners Association (HHA) Bylaws allow for two types of committees:
Board Committees. The Board of Directors may appoint from time to time such board committees to serve such purposes of the Corporation as the Board of Directors shall deem appropriate. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Bylaws, each board committee appointed by the Board of Directors shall: (a) be subject to such limitations as may be imposed by the Board of Directors, these Bylaws, the Articles of Incorporation, or applicable law; (b) include at least two (2) directors of the Association; and (c) keep regular minutes of its meetings and shall present the same to the Board of Directors at the meetings ofthe Board of Directors.
Advisory Committees. The Board of Directors may create and appoint advisory committees, whose members need not be directors, in accordance with KRS 273.221. An advisory committee may not act on behalf of the Corporation or bind the Corporation to any action but may make recommendations to the Board of Directors, to any board committee, or to the Officers of the Corporation. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Bylaws, each advisory committee appointed by the Board of Directors shall: (a) be subject to such limitations as may be imposed by the Board of Directors, these Bylaws, the Articles of Incorporation, or applicable law; (b) keep regular minutes of its meetings and shalt present the same to the Board of Directors at the meetings of the Board of Directors.
Landscaping Committee (Proposed)
Proposed Landscaping Committee Charter:
- Perform regular inspections of common areas and green spaces to identify and evaluate needed landscaping improvements, including needed routine maintenance, lighting, reforestation and beautification;
- Solicit feedback from residents on the landscape, as needed;
- Provide recommendations for landscaping maintenance and improvements to the Board of Directors, incorporating resident feedback where possible;
- Collaborate with and assist property manager in evaluating quality of landscaping services and grounds maintenance issues and report on findings to Board of Directors; and,
- Assist property manager in obtaining and evaluating bids, quotes, and contractors for landscaping services and assist in facilitation of landscaping maintenance and projects.

Hartland Pool Committee
Pool Committee Charter:
- Inspect the pool facilities on a regular basis, evaluate maintenance needs and make recommendations to the Board of Directors;
- Inspect the pool facilities as to the overall condition and make recommendations to the Board of Directors for improvements and enhancements including the priority of need;
- Propose, for the Board of Directors adoption, operating guidelines governing the pool's operating season and hours; and,
- Propose, for the Board of Directors adoption, rules and regulations governing the use and operation of the pool facilities.

Safety/Traffic Committee (Proposed)
Proposed Safety/Traffic Committee Charter:
- Assist property manager with inspecting the neighborhood streets and sidewalks on a regular basis, identifying and evaluating safety and maintenance needs and report on findings to Board of Directors;
- Solicit feedback from residents on traffic, pedestrian, and resident safety, as needed;
- Work with LFUCG personnel to identify improvements that will address traffic issues including speeding, failure to observe stop signs, and overcrowding of streets;
- Provide traffic, pedestrian, and home safety guidance for publication on the HHA website, newsletters, and social media;
- Provide recommendations to improve traffic, pedestrian, and resident safety to the Board of Directors.
